ORA-00236: snapshot operation disallowed: mounted control file is a backup

Cause:

Attempting to invoke cfileSetSnapshotName, cfileMakeAndUseSnapshot, or cfileUseSnapshot when the currently mounted control file is a backup control file.


Action:

Mount a current control file and retry the operation.
