Power Off Virtual Server

Before you close your VMware program and shutdown your PC or Notebook, it will better for you to shutdown and poweroff all your virtual servers. This will prevent your virtual server from corruption.

The command is

poweroff

Before you power off your virtual machine, you need to shutdown all applications (for System Administrator, Oracle database is consider an application). For database shutdown read following article Oracle Database Shutdown Process



Now issue command poweroff



The virtual server will completely power off
